Refugee Family Progress Update II
Our Afghan refugee family is currently using a rental car to get to the father’s work and to travel around to and from appointments. The lease on that car ends on the 28th of December. The car that was going to be donated to the family on that date unfortunately turned out to be unsatisfactory because it needed too much work and expense. We are currently looking at another used car that would be donated. However, if that turns out to be unworkable, we will be looking for other possibilities. If you have a car to donate or to sell for approximately $3,000 or less, that we (the Friends and UUCA) could purchase and, subsequently, donate to Lutheran Social Services, please let us know ASAP, so we can consider it.
