Reset & Recharge Yoga:
A Self-Care Evening in Community
Take time to nurture yourself and find calm at this week’s free Community Yoga class, a gentle and restorative practice open to everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or new to yoga, all are welcome to join!
Here are the Details:
- Date: Thursday, November 14, 2024
- Time: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, tea and cookies available after class
- Location: Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis, Sanctuary (Enter through sliding glass doors at front of building)
- What to Bring: Yoga mat, water, and a cozy blanket if you’d like extra comfort during relaxation. (We also have some extra mats available if you don’t have one!)
This week’s class will focus on gentle, supported Yin postures that encourage relaxation, flexibility, and deep release. Yin yoga emphasizes longer holds in seated and lying-down poses, allowing you to gently stretch and relax into each posture. It’s perfect for relieving stress, releasing tension, and promoting mental clarity—all essential elements of self-care.
Our instructor will provide options and modifications for each pose, so you’ll have plenty of support to make the practice your own. Feel free to bring a yoga mat if you have one, and any props like a blanket or cushion to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
Post-Class Connection
After our practice, enjoy a cup of hot tea in the lobby and a chance to connect with others in the community. This is a wonderful opportunity to unwind together and share in the peaceful energy we’ve created.
Come as you are—no experience necessary. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this space of rest and rejuvenation. See you on the mat!
