WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY AND BEYOND

Dear UUCA Community,

There is overwhelming evidence that COVID-19 is impacting many institutions around the world.  There are now a few cases reported in Anne Arundel County which means it is in our backyard.  We intend to do everything in our power to protect those within this community—especially our senior members and those with compromised immune systems. As a result, the Executive Team has made the decision to CANCEL all worship services for the foreseeable future or until it is safe to gather in large groups again.

This includes Faith Formation, Middle Hour and After Hour and all building use (church groups, rentals, etc.). Unfortunately, for everyone’s safety, we will not be admitting visitors into the church at this time either. We will be re-evaluating our decision on a weekly basis and sending out updates to you.

We will be offering a weekly online worship service at 10 am. It will be broadcast via ZOOM conferencing:

All online weekly services will each be at 10 am. The service will also be recorded and put on our weekly podcast Sunday evenings here: http://uucamd.libsyn.com/ and posted on FaceBook. We will email Mp3 or video links of services to anyone who asks. Email your request(s) to one of the ministers (email addresses are below).

UUCA, your staff is on the job.  We will do all in our power to make this unprecedented moment as manageable as possible; and as you manage your emotions and needs, you may find that you have requests for pastoral care or support. Please email both of the ministers.

Lastly, we can all feel the anxiety in the air. Do your best to be loving, considerate and patient with people. We are praying for this world and each one of you. May you let your UU values shine in all that you do. We will be in touch.

With great love and support,

Rev. John T. Crestwell, Jr., Co-Executive Minister, jcrestwell@uuannapolis.org

Rev. Anastassia Zinke, Co-Executive Minister, azinke@uuannapolis.org
