Special 2-Part Series in December
When we return on December 5, we’ll kick off a unique 2-part series on a theme designed to deepen our practice and connection. Here are a few ideas we’re considering:
-
Sanskrit in Yoga Practice: Learn some of the key Sanskrit terms, chants, and postures that bring yoga’s ancient wisdom into our practice.
-
The Yamas & Niyamas: A journey into the ethical principles of yoga, exploring how values like compassion, truthfulness, and discipline can add meaning to our practice and daily lives.
-
Personal Flow Workshop: Discover how to create your own yoga sequence that you can carry beyond the studio, personalized to resonate with your goals and experience.
We’d love to hear from you about which theme resonates most or if you have other ideas. Your feedback will help us shape this series in a way that feels meaningful and engaging.
Building Our Community Together
As we grow, we’re eager to include more facilitators in Community Yoga to bring new voices and perspectives to our sessions. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in leading, please reach out to me directly. We’re also excited to gather your input on making the UU space a regular home for Community Yoga gatherings. With your support and engagement, we can keep building a vibrant, supportive community together.
This Week’s Class
This Thursday, we’ll enjoy a gentle, restorative yin practice with soothing, ethereal music to create a calming, reflective atmosphere. Minimal guidance will allow you space to relax, unwind, and connect with yourself. We have mats available for anyone who needs one, and all levels are warmly welcome.
Thank you for being part of Community Yoga. Your presence and dedication make this space special, and we look forward to practicing with you on Thursday and beyond.
With gratitude,
Sam Sheeder
