VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
GIVING BACK IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT!
The staff and volunteers from UUCA will be providing bag lunches for the 50 residents of the House of Hope’s Alternative Shelter, located at the Annapolis Red Roof Inn, on August 24. We welcome volunteers to help out with this project. The UUCA staff successfully completed this task on the 10th, to the appreciation of the residents of the Shelter.
Lunches generally include a sandwich, chips, fruit cup, cookies, and a fruit box drink. We view this as a way to “get our feet wet” in, eventually, participating in the House of Hope’s Winter Relief Program. We plan to schedule additional dates in the future.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Rev. John (jcrestwell@uuannapolis.org) or
Pat Fleeharty (pfleeharty@hotmail.com) to help pack lunches.
